OUR HISTORY
1985-90 Parakou Shipping Limited was established in Hong Kong in 1985, started ship management business, chartering business and consecutively purchased 18 second-hand vessels
1990 Started building new vessels. Took delivery 1 unit of 2000 Teu Container-carrier from Korean shipyard and 1 unit of 62800 dwt Panamax bulker from Japanese shipyard.
1991 Took delivery 2 units of 68600 dwt Panamax bulker from Japanese shipyard.
1992 Took delivery 2 units of 3494 Teu Container-carrier from Taiwanese shipyard. Started property investment both in Shanghai and Singapore.
1993 Completed construction of petrol chemical wharf and 4000M3 capacity storage tanks in Tai Chong. Set up branch offices in New York and Copenhagen for chartering business. Started aircargo business & trading business in Shanghai. Took delivery 2 units of 316 Teu Container Carrier from Korean shipyard.
1994 Took delivery 6 units of 9500/8500 dwt Product tanker from Korean shipyard. Took delivery additional 2 units of 316 Teu Container Carrier from Korean shipyard.
1995 Participated in contracting of 4 units of 73000 dwt Panamax bulker in Korea. Established Joint-Venture with Zhanjiang Harbour Authority to develop warehouse storage business. Set up companies in Singapore for marine supply business. Set up cargo forwarding business by Joint-Venture with China Shipping Group. Took delivery 4 units of 43500 dwt Handymax bulker and 3 units of 392-420 Teu Container-carrier from Korean shipyard.
1996 Obtained ISM/DOC and ISO9002 Certificate in 1996. Took delivery of 3 units of 420 TEU container carriers from Korean Shipyard.
1997 Took delivery 2 units of 46500 dwt Handymax bulker from Korean shipyard. Successfully purchased 70% share of railway business in Tangshan. Purchased warehouse in Singapore for expanding godown storage business.
1998 Took delivery 2 units of 45500 dwt Handymax bulker from Korean shipyard. Took delivery 2 units of Chemical/Product tanker and 2 units 46500 dwt Handymax bulker from Korean shipyard. Participated in contracting total 10 units of Panamax bulker in 4 Japanese shipyards. Took delivery 2 units OPL boat in Singapore for expanding marine services.
2000 Took delivery 6 units of Panamax bulker from Japanese shipyards.
2001 Took delivery 4 units of Panamax bulker from Japanese shipyards.
2003 Contracted 6 units of 35,200 DWT lake bulker with Xingang Shipyard. Contracted 2 units of 74,000 DWT & 2 units of 51,000 DWT product tanker with STX shipyard.
2004 Took delivery of 2 units of 35,200dwt lake bulker. OPL boat fleet expanded to 15 vessels. Contracted additional 2 units of 74,000 DWT & 2 units of 51,000 DWT product tanker. Contracted 2 units of 1043teu container VSL with Daesun. Contracted 2 units of 53,000 DWT bulker with Cheng Xi Shipyard. Contracted 4 units of 50,100DWT product tanker with Dongyang shipyard .
2005 Took delivery of 1 unit of 1,043 teu container from Korean Shipyard Took delivery of 1 unit of 53,000 dwt bulker from Chinese Shipyard Took delivery of 1 unit of 51,000 dwt product/ chemical tanker from Korean Shipyard Contracted 2 units of 51,000 dwt product/ chemical tanker with STX Contracted 4 units of 35,200 dwt bulker with Xingang
2006 Took delivery of 1 unit of 1,043 teu container from Korean Shipyard Took delivery of 1 unit of 53,000 dwt bulker from Chinese Shipyard Took delivery of 1 unit of 51,000 dwt product/ chemical tanker from Korean Shipyard Contracted 1 unit of 51,000 dwt product/ chemical tanker with STX Contracted 12 units of 35,000 dwt bulker with Changqingsha
2007 Took delivery of 2 units of 37,200 dwt bulker from Xingang Shipyard Took delivery of 5 units of 51,000 dwt product/ chemical tanker from Korean Shipyard Contracted 6 units of 57,700 dwt bulkers with STX Dalian
